Product Description

Isoamyl Alcohol is Colorless to pale yellow clear oily liquid. It has the aroma of apple brandy and a pungent taste. The melting point is -117.2 °C, the boiling point is 130 °C, and the relative density (d2525) is 0.813. The refractive index (nD20) is 1.4075. The vapor is toxic. It is miscible with ethanol and ether, and slightly soluble in water.
Naturally, it exists in the form of esters in strawberries, peppermint, citronella, eucalyptus oil, rum, etc.
