Whiskey lactone is Colorless liquid. It has the aroma of whisky, as well as the scents of coumarin, coconut, wood, and nuts. The boiling point is 93 - 94 °C. Its solubility in water is less than 0.1%; its solubility in hexane is greater than 50%.The natural product is present in cognac, rum, sherry, wine, etc.
