Benzalkonium Chloride is a yellow-white waxy solid or colloidal body. Density 0.96~0.985 g/cm3, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. Aromatic. Lightfast, pressure-resistant, heat-resistant, non-volatile. When shaken, a large amount of foam can be produced.

Applications

Used as bactericide, medical surgical instrument disinfectant.
Used as a leveling agent for cationic dyes, and can also be used as a bactericidal and algaecide agent for industrial water, a disinfection and fungicide agent for livestock pens, grain warehouses, silkworm chambers, mushrooms, white fungus and other cash crops.
