Methyl trans-2-nonenoate is Colorless to light yellow liquid, with a violet-like aroma. Relative density (d425) 0.893 - 0.898, refractive index (nD20) 1.440 - 1.444. Insoluble in water, soluble in dilute ethanol (1:4, 70%).
