Isoamyl acetate is an important solvent. It can dissolve nitrocellulose, glyceryl tristearate, ethylene resin, coumarone resin, rosin, frankincense, dammar resin, sandarac resin, castor oil, etc. In Japan, 80% of this product is used as a flavor. It has a strong fruity fragrance, similar to the fragrance of pears, bananas, apples, etc. Therefore, it is widely used as various edible fruit flavors.
