Product Description

Colorless oily liquid. Boiling point 195 °C, relative density 0.822-0.830, refractive index 1.428-1.431, flash point 82.5 °C, soluble in 5 volumes of 50% ethanol or 3 volumes of 60% ethanol and oils, acid value <1.0. It has a dry, sweet and sharp waxy aroma, and also has a citrus, orange peel and rose-like atmosphere. It has a paste-like base fragrance like that of siler root, and the fragrance does not last long. It also has an oily fruity fragrance, sweet and slightly grassy.

Octanol is mainly used in the production of plasticizers, extractants and stabilizers. At the same time, it can also be used as an intermediate for solvents and fragrances.
