Product Description

Glycine is White monoclinic or hexagonal crystal system crystal, or white crystalline powder. Odorless, with a special sweet taste. Easily soluble in water. The solubility in water is 25g/100ml at 25°C; 39.1g/100ml at 50°C; 54.4g/100ml at 75°C; 67.2g/100ml at 100°C. Extremely difficult to dissolve in ethanol. About 0.06g is dissolved in 100g absolute ethanol. Almost insoluble in acetone and ether.

Applications

This product is used as a solvent for removing carbon dioxide in the fertilizer industry. In the Organic synthesis industry, it can be used as an amino acid preparation, a buffer for chlortetracycline, and as a synthetic raw material for the anti-Parkinson's disease drug L-dopa. It is also an intermediate of ethyl imidazolate. It is also an adjuvant therapeutic drug in itself, which can treat hyperacidity in nervous stomach and is also effective in inhibiting hyperacidity in gastric ulcers. It is used in the food industry as a formula and saccharin de-base agent for synthetic wine, brewed products, meat processing and refreshing beverages. As a food additive, glycine can be used alone as a condiment, or in combination with sodium glutamate, DL-alanine, citric acid, etc. In other industries, it can be used as a pH regulator, added to electroplating solutions, or used as a raw material for other amino acids. It is used as a biochemical reagent and solvent in organic synthesis and biochemistry.
