White crystal. Melting point 37 °C, boiling point 282 °C, relative density 1.054 - 1.064 (in liquid state), refractive index 1.5795, soluble in 7 volumes of 95% ethanol and oily spices. It has an aroma similar to orange leaves, a green and bitter grassy smell, not very pleasant. When extremely faint, it has the scent of sweet orange blossoms and grapes. The aroma is relatively gentle and delicate, with a long-lasting fragrance.
