Product Description

Butyric anhydride is  colorless transparent liquid with an unpleasant odor. The relative density is 0.9668 (20/20ºC), the melting point is -75ºC, and the boiling point is 198ºC. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ether. It decomposes in the presence of water to form butyric acid. It reacts with alcohols to form esters.
