White scales or powder. Soluble in water (1:0.8, 25 °C) and glycerol (1:5), soluble in 95% ethanol (1:11), almost insoluble in ether, chloroform and benzene. The aqueous solution is slightly acidic (pH 5-6). It turns pink in the light of the long dew. Odorless or slightly special odor, sweet taste and discomfort.
