Product Description

 Curcumin   is Orange-yellow crystalline powder. Has a special odor. Melting point 179~ 182 ºC. Insoluble in water and ether, soluble in ethanol, glacial acetic acid, propylene glycol. Reddish-brown in alkaline conditions, light yellow in acidity. Forms a lake with magnesium hydroxide, yellowish red. Forms chelates with metal ions, especially iron ions, causing discoloration.
