Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, dimethylformamide, and dimethyl sulfoxide, and insoluble in acetone, ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and benzene. Stable in acidic and neutral solutions, and easily decomposable in alkaline solutions. The industrial product is an amorphous granular solid with a melting point of 142-143 °C.
