Product Description

Isoamyl Salicylate is Colorless or light yellow liquid. The relative density is 1.047 - 1.053, the refractive index is 1.5050 - 1.5085, the flash point is above 100ºC, and it is soluble in 4 volumes of 90% ethanol and oils. The acid value is <1.0. It has a strong herbaceous aroma, with a sweet taste and some bean and woody notes. It has a relatively long-lasting fragrance.

It is one of the commonly used and relatively important salicylate esters. It is suitable for grassy - orchid - type fragrances and fragrances such as moss, sweet briar, fougère, new - mown grass, etc. It is also used in floral fragrances such as carnation, violet, osmanthus, broom, hyacinth, mimosa, etc., as well as in heavy - type woody, oriental and musk - type formulations. It can also be combined with patchouli oil, vetiver oil, sandalwood oil or cedarwood oil and used in soap - based sweet briar - type fragrances.
