Azelaic Acid is White to slightly yellow monoclinic prismatic crystals, acicular crystals or powder. Melting point is 106.5ºC. Boiling point >360 (partial decomposition), 226ºC (1.33kPa), 287ºC (13.3kPa). Relative density is 1.225 (25/4ºC). Refractive index is 1.4303 (111ºC). Easily soluble in hot water, alcohols and hot benzene. Slightly soluble in water, ether and benzene.
