Applications

Imidazole can be used as a curing agent for epoxy resins, which can improve the mechanical properties such as bending, tensile and compression of products, enhance the electrical properties of insulation, and improve the chemical properties of resistance to chemical agents. It is widely used in computers and electrical appliances. As an anti-rust agent for copper, it is used in printed circuit boards and integrated circuits. As a raw material for medicine, it is used to manufacture antifungal drugs, antimildew agents, hypoglycemic drugs, artificial plasma, trichomoniasis drugs, bronchodilators for asthma treatment, anti-erythema agents, etc. As a raw material for pesticides, it is used as a synergist for boric acid preparations and to produce insecticides and fungicides. In addition, imidazole is also used as a raw material for curing agents of urea-formaldehyde resins, photographic drugs, adhesives, coatings, rubber vulcanizing agents, antistatic agents, etc., and as an intermediate for organic synthesis.
