1,9-Nonanediol can react with organic acids, isocyanates and anhydrides to form different types of derivatives. The modified and synthesized low-melting-point and biodegradable polyester is used for food outer packaging, high-grade fibers and electrical insulation materials; the synthesized high-performance polyurethane elastomer has excellent crystallinity and high mechanical strength and is used for producing rubber, elastic fibers, artificial leather and auto parts; it can also be used as a polyester plasticizer and has the functions of high volatility resistance, low temperature resistance, water resistance and oil resistance.
