Product Description

L-Tyrosine appears as white acicular crystals or crystalline powder, odorless, with a bitter taste. The melting point is 334°C (with decomposition). It is sparingly soluble in water (0.04%, 25°C), insoluble in absolute ethanol, ether, and acetone, but soluble in dilute acids or dilute alkalis. The isoelectric point is 5.66.
