1-ethenyl-1h-imidazol is a heterocyclic compound. It is mainly used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and pesticides and as a curing agent for epoxy resins. It can also be used to prepare vinylimidazole ionic liquids. It is easily polymerized into a plastic rubber polymer and is used as a hardener for resin materials, a photosensitive chemical reagent, and the core of resin inclusions. It is also used in the petroleum industry and as a polymer.
