White or colorless crystals. Boiling point is 370ºC, melting point is 44-45ºC, relative density is 1.1516. Soluble in most oily spices and 24 volumes of 95% ethanol. With a mild sweet osmanthus-like balm fragrance, as well as floral fragrance and a slight spicy fragrance. The aroma is heavy and lasting.
