Product Description

Sulfanilic acid is White or off-white crystalline. The hydrate loses moisture at 100°C. The anhydrous substance begins to decompose and carbonize at 280°C. The relative density is 1.485 (25/4). Slightly soluble in cold water, insoluble in ethanol, ether and benzene. It has significant acidity and can be dissolved in caustic soda solution and sodium carbonate solution.
