Product Description

1H-Benzotriazol-1-yloxytris(pyrrolidino)phosphonium hexafluorophosphate (PyBOP) is an analogue of BOP coupling reagent. It is usually used as a catalyst for the synthesis of amides and other esterification reactions. PyBOP has selective oxidation of alcohols and olefins, and also has the potential to oxidize amines into amides. However, since green chemistry did not receive much attention at that time, it has not been studied earlier. With the current attention to sustainability and green chemistry, scientists have begun to use PyBOP to synthesize amides in a greener way.
