Product Description

Acryloyl chloride is a colorless or light yellow, highly toxic, volatile liquid with a boiling point of 75-76 °C, a relative density of 1.1136 (20/4 °C), and a refractive index of 1.4343. It can be miscible with chloroform and decompose in water and ethanol. It is volatile. It can cause irritation to the surface of eyes and mucous membranes, pneumonia, pulmonary edema, and even death. The acryloyl chloride molecule contains unsaturated double bonds and acyl chlorides. Acyl chlorides are very easy to undergo nucleophilic substitution reactions with the hydroxyl groups of hydrothermal carbon to generate acrylic ester-modified hydrothermal bamboo charcoal. It is used for synthesizing irreversible inhibitors and biomaterials.
