Product Description

1-Octadecanethiol is Colorless to pale yellow liquid. It has an unpleasant odor resembling garlic or skunk. When diluted (< 0.02mg/kg), it has an aroma resembling fat, stewed beef, lightly boiled onions, eggs, coffee, and garlic. The boiling point is 97 - 98.4 °C. It is slightly soluble in oils, slightly soluble in water (0.6g/100ml), and soluble in ethanol.
