Product Description

1-Octanethiol  is Colorless transparent liquid. Freezing point is -49.2ºC. Boiling point is 199.1ºC, 77 - 78ºC (1.33kPa), relative density is 0.8428 (20/4ºC), refractive index is 1.4540, flash point is 85ºC. It is soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone and benzene, but insoluble in water. It has the special odor of mercaptan.
