Applications

Excellent organic solvent, has good solubility to cellulose acetate butyrate, ethyl cellulose, chlorinated rubber, polystyrene, methacrylic acid resin and many natural resins such as tannins, manila gum, damar resin, etc. Widely used in nitrocellulose varnish, used as a solvent in artificial leather, fabric and plastic processing, used as an extractant in various petroleum processing and pharmaceutical processes, and also used in fragrance compounding and apricot, banana, pear, pineapple and other fragrance ingredients.
