Product Description

Aluminum sulfate hexadecahydrate is one of the hydrates of aluminum sulfate. Aluminum sulfate exists in anhydrous form and multiple hydrated forms (16, 18, 27, etc.). When heating hydrates, they expand violently and turn into spongy substances. When heated to red heat, they decompose into sulfur trioxide and aluminum oxide.
