Product Description

At room temperature, it is a colorless needle-like crystal. It is soluble in ethanol, ether, and chloroform, slightly soluble in hot water, and hardly soluble in cold water. p-Methoxybenzoyl chloride, an intermediate of amiodarone hydrochloride, is prepared by chlorination with thionyl chloride. It is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate for piracetam and can also be used in spices and preservatives.
