DMA (dimethylamine), also known as dimethylamine, is an organic compound. It is a colorless flammable gas or liquid. At high concentrations or when compressed and liquefied, it has an ammonia-like odor. At low concentrations, it has a fishy odor. It is easily soluble in water and soluble in ethanol and ether. It is toxic.

Mainly used as raw materials for rubber vulcanization accelerators, leather depilatories, medicines (antibiotics), pesticides (fungicides such as thiram, chlordimeform, and herbicides such as monuron), solvents for the textile industry, dyes, explosives, propellants, and organic intermediates such as dimethylhydrazine and N,N-dimethylformamide. Among them, dimethylamine consumed in the production of dimethylformamide accounts for 44.7% of the total consumption, pesticide production consumption accounts for 38.9%, and medical and other production consumption accounts for 16.4%.
