Product Description

Phenylacetaldehyde is a colorless to pale yellow viscous oily liquid. It polymerizes and thickens very easily when placed at room temperature. It has a strong hyacinth aroma and at low concentrations, it has almond and cherry scents. Fragrance types: hyacinth fragrance, narcissus type. The boiling point is 195°C, the melting point is less than -10°C, and the flash point is 68°C. It is soluble in ethanol, ether, most non-volatile oils, and propylene glycol, slightly soluble in water, and insoluble in glycerol and mineral oil. Natural products are present in citrus flowers and leaves, roses, tea leaves, etc.

Applications

Phenylacetaldehyde has the elegant aroma of narcissus and is one of the important spices used in blending various floral fragrances. It is mainly used in the formulations of hyacinth, narcissus, daffodil, sweet bean flower, etc., and is used in small amounts in other floral fragrance types, imparting a fresh top note and having the effect of enhancing the aroma. For example, in fragrance types such as white rose, lilac, magnolia, and jasmine, it makes the fresh aroma more prominent. In fragrance types such as lily of the valley, cyclamen, apple blossom, osmanthus, and jasmine, it evokes the fresh aroma. It also has the effect of enhancing the aroma in the fragrances of lily of the valley, cyclamen, apple blossom, osmanthus, locust flower, violet, and honey fragrance. It is also used in the refined floral and other fragrances.
