5-Aminoisophthalic acid is a white solid granular at room temperature and pressure. It has good solubility in dimethyl sulfoxide and very poor solubility in low-polarity solvents such as n-hexane, cyclohexane, toluene and ether solvents. It is insoluble in water. Its molecular structure contains both acidic carboxyl groups and alkaline amino groups. Therefore, special attention needs to be paid to the pH of the reaction system during the preparation process.
